This bill removes the royal family's special exemption from freedom of information rules and adds them to the list of public bodies that must answer transparency requests.
A Bill to omit section 37 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000; to provide that the Sovereign, the Royal Family, the Royal Household, the Royal Archives and the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster are public authorities for the purposes of that Act; and for connected purposes.
