Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill

Lets landlords and tenants resolve disputes over unpaid rent from COVID-19 business closures through binding arbitration instead of court. The arbitrator can reduce, delay, or write off rent debt if keeping it would destroy the tenant's business.

A Bill To make provision enabling relief from payment of certain rent debts under business tenancies adversely affected by coronavirus to be available through arbitration; and for connected purposes.
